Swingers Episode 1 Swingers Episode 1

Rated 3.5 / 5 stars August 21, 2011

Good but that name...

The animation was good - scenes a bit rushed. Voice acting needed to be in sync more. The voice acting needed a little bit more personality. The movies a little bit longer.

I like the story, I'm sure as time goes on the who/what/where will be explained.

However, the name... Was I not the only one who thought dirty?

Swingers - people who exchange sex partners.
Thuderclap - sometimes refered to as that clapping sound the butt makes during sex..

>.> Or does only my mind instantly go to the gutter.

Should have stayed with your original story

I liked the original better. Nice updated graphics though!

Original:

Toonwerks responds:

It's actually very close to the original, we moved a couple scenes around the make the flow better.

The only differences in overall plot involve things that hadn't happened in the original series yet

Awesome

Very fun, but it could usse come work. A bit tweaking and you could go console.
I didnt find easy or normal hard, but insane was well... insane. I played for about 1 1/2 hours before i had to go to bed.

Like:
-the huge rift choices, its mind boggling
-band customization
-"learning other songs"
-playing at different concerts
-being a real band
-the hold mouse click and using the arrow keys
-rift stopper button
-the ability to have multiple bands AND change from them
-the speed of changing clothes on the characters

Dislikes:
-You almost compeltely skipped over the "how to play" on the tutorials. You assumed it was very easy, apparently its not. there are two different balls, what do they mean? I have no f-n clue.
-6 key set up. I think what would have been better instead of the revolver do a 2 on top, one on left, two on bottom, one on right. So the key set up wouldnt be qweasd, but weadzx circular around S. And 894623 around 5.
-not explaining how to unlock more of the "hang out" things (should say with just a scroll over)
-not explaining about the hold mouse click and use mouse keys (noticed it, kinda small)
-the lag, I have a powerful comp (DX10 games on ultra high run smooth and have 5mb connection), and still lagged at some points

Suggestions:
-Have the balls come out different colors, associated with the appropriate color. I figure you didnt do this because ther "other" games go by color, but there is a reason for it. It makes things easier to read, especially when all notes come out of the same space
-work on the sync, i noticed in some song off a bit
-Put back in the randomization rift button
-have the Del key... delete music
-downloadable (which im sure your going to do)
-bring back the penguin
-have a quick concert button, it auto picks a location
-have a random button, it randomly chooses a song from the list
-if you can (maybe not here but on the download) add the lyrics
-if you are doing a streak have your character/toon do something different. Like head bang, "heat up" to the point of catching on fire, girls throwing panties at his feet, etc.
-allow the choice of female characters
-have the follow music notes FOLLOW by default. Dont know why by default you wouldnt want to follow along the song
-go into way more detail about the tabs, i have no clue what to do with that
-facial paint, nuff said
-have your score at the end of each song(which is what you have), then have a % of got correct, with number of correct, streak count, number of wrong notes. Then at the end of a concert have an average of everything
-reduce the amount you drop for missing a note, its way to much and way to slow to get back up. It drops to about 80% of the meter if you miss a note. Think about if your listening to a RL cover band and they miss a note, would you be mad? maybe a lil, would you think 1/5th less of them? prob not.
-lower that f-n sound if you miss. Its so loud it literally messes you up from hearing the song for the next note.

im sure if i sat here for a bit more i could think of more. hope this helps you out.

Tuper Tario Tros. Tuper Tario Tros.

Rated 4 / 5 stars January 12, 2010

Very inventive

I liked the game, I liked the mixture.

Didnt think it was to hard (Beat it on the first try with no deaths).

At first I wasn't sure what to do, so I just built paths to make sure mario can go right. Which apparently what I was supposed to do.

The castle at the end was neat, a little tricky. I thought I had to fill in all the spots, but then almost out of time just tried to fit whatever in there.

With a few tweaks, this game could be better

Anyways Suggestions:
-Under how to play, put that you can "tetris" or clear lines in the tetris game. Then put how many blocks it had to be across. I didn't realized I could clear line until I was near the end of the game.
-SHOW THE NEXT TETRIS PIECE
-give us a button to ethier a. throw a piece away (which isnt really tetris) or b. instantly put a piece down (which is tetris)
-Put a run in the mario game really disappointed in that
-Dont know if this happens but if not, if you tetris/clear a line with blocks that have ? on it, put the items in the ? into your inventory (life, mushroom score, or coins)
-make new stages (at least 3 more, one with water, one underground, and one with bowser and his castle)
-out turtles in the game, and all the mechanics that go with it

hope this helps

Dragon Boy Dragon Boy

Rated 4.5 / 5 stars November 17, 2009

very fun, a little hard though

very fun game. But I found it a little hard. I can see that diablo influnced this... alot. But thats a good thing. I ony got up the the 2nd boss before stopping for bed. Might come back tomorrow. I like this game.

I dont know if my "partners" are supposed to attack but so far niether has done anything. (Okay I figured it out, tisk tisk, Aztec doesnt have a basic attack -_-)

Likes:
-ability to go back and forth from the levels
-listing the number of revivors left

Anyways, suggestions:
-Have a chest/bank
-show how much EXP each kill is worth
-show how much exp is needed to level (number wise)
-tell us in the tutorial when the dragon is supposed to start attacking/helping
-tell us in the tutorial when/how the partner should be attacking (i think this might be a bug for me though)
-have quests
-DONT ALLOW THE TEXT TO RUN OFF THE GAME! When you highlight over an item that you have equipped, like the 2ndary weapon/shield, you cant read it! Change that. Very annoying
-Have an item to port you home incase your about to die (because the portal turns off right away)
-Have the option to port back home for the first 5 seconds in-case someone chooses the wrong level.
-Change the font of the talking text, even on HQ its still blurred together/hard to read.
-Have ways to change music, maybe.
-have a way to attack at the NE, NW, SE, SW cornor of the guy. As it stands he can only attack N, S, E, W, but the enemies can attack in more directions.
-have a sprint/run option for a quick attack
-have a button to block with a shield and the shield reduce damage significantly insteada, % = not worth having, unless the % is greator than 40+
-have the enemies spawn in random spots, i can redo the same level 10 times and all the mobs spawn at the same pointd each time
-Give the mage a basic attack (even if its some puny fireball or a staff hit)
-be able to buy bags to add more inventory space.
-put the shop on the same side as the portal. As it stands the biggest time waster is runnign back and forth to the shop.
-add bows and arrows
-have the ability to REBUY something you accidently sell
-have multiple pages of things to buy, because sometimes I want to buy the the lower stuff because money is slow to get in this game
-the ability to straff
-have every boss drop something, at least 1 thing. Its ridiculas killing a boss and getting shit for it
-have the main guy have some sort of magical ability or special abilities, like a stomp knock-back, or something.
-make pick up items more noticable. sparkles, very luminated, something. with a bunch of bodies on the ground its hard to see items.
-DONT ALLOW MONSTERS TO ATTACK THROUGH WALLS/OBSTACLES! >.<
-reduce the range of the spear guys.. its just plain unfair... and unfun. (ESPECIALLY THE UP!!!!!! Im way out of the way and STILL GET HIT)
-make the word gold under inventory... gold.
-dont have all the mobs mainly focus on the main guy. If im running around in a circle, and my "helpers" are hitting them, wouldnt a smart person stop chasing me?
-if you click on an NPC have the ability to end the conversation right away instead of going through the entire dialogue
-let us know how much more food the dragon needs before the next upgrade.

Bug(s):
-When i bought the sword of thousand truths and then equipped it on main hand, with superior sword as off hand, i was swinging to test the speed. Out drops an iron axe. haha

The Tickler The Tickler

Rated 4.5 / 5 stars October 9, 2009

fun game

Very fun, i love it

Things I liked:
-The pictures taken of the last enemy dying
-lots of upgrade
-unlimited retries (and keeping the money even if I fail)
-the multiple enemy types (especially the space invaders stage)
-the invicibility song (I love that song)
-the pick-up upgrades and how the pick-up upgrades do NOT go away (I hate games with disapeering power-ups)
-zombie mode, nice

Suggestions:
-Let us know how many of what are left, and when we have killed all of that type, have the little icon go away
-When we beat a stage give us a 3-5 second countdown so we can go pickup any money left on the stage (or automatically give us the money, but SAY you gave it to us or it will left us wondering)
-Give us a radr upgrade that will put arrows of where the mobs are that are off stage
-give us a button to pause, as it stands now the only way to pause is pressing the top right button. Only problem with that is our man FOLLOWS our mouse, so we might have to run through mobs to pause, and then when we UNPAUSE our man runs to the center thus, running through anything in the way (again)
-have an upgrade that attracts the money, money, and power ups (like a magnet... for meat... >.>)
-give a bonus for completing a level on the first try
-have your lightning eventually stun men
-have a freeze upgrade to slow machines
-as you upgrade let your robots body change (say upgrading the armor)
-have a stay still button, meaning say its space, if I hold space I will not follow the mouse, thus allowing me to aim without moving forward
-have a way to store pick-up upgrades so we can use them at our convinience
-slow down the speed upgrade (way to fast)
-the arm length upgrade seem to do more harm past 4 or 5 (its harder to pick up the guys for some reason)
-make the last stage harder (the hardest mobs in the game were the tanks)

Bug(s)
-If you switch from one level to another, or hit retry on a level to fast sometimes men, info icons, and even my body once will stay on till the next stage is finished

Days 2 Die-The Other Side Days 2 Die-The Other Side

Rated 4.5 / 5 stars October 5, 2009

nice fun game

I really enjoyed this game:

Likes:
-how the screen followed the mouse as if I was looking in a distance
-many gun, most I never used
-nice story (kind of cheesy gun buying guy though)
-ergonomic controls (WASD and arrows)

Suggestions:
-Have the store SELL HEALTH!!! this really pee'd me off that I couldn't buy health
-Reduce the damage the zombies do, some do 50, others do 80 damage? wtf?
-have a way to heal your merc (or at least explain how cuz I think I did during the game), and heal your survivors (and a way to choose who you want precedent to take healin)
-when buying bullets, put a price next to them
-Be a bit more detailed on some of directions/barriers etc. For example, the car was a PAIN IN THE ASS To find, even though it was in the door to the left right when you leave the room. Why was it a pain to find? well because ALL of the other doors where zombies come out from the side of the screen are NOT exits. Thus, the confusion. Also, the stairs... Have a little bubble pop up that has a W/uparrow to signify you can climb the stairs and its not a background
-On survival mode, allow the ability to see barrier health
-Have a way to upgrade/give a merc a weapon of yours.
-have a way to PLACE a grenade/dynomite
-dont allow the "tank" zombie, or any enemy for that matter, to kick your explosions.
-instead of following the mouse (or maybe have both) make space your action(talk) button. Then have Q and E your pan left and right. Some times I found it annoying I had to shoot right but I couldnt look left. Its very plausible for someone to just fire behind them as they run from a mob of zombies(or a gang of people in real life)
-earn money faster over all (especially in survivor mode)
-HAve the ability to store and use medic packs at a later time

Bug(s)
-I found out during the bat boss if you have the shop open, then hit I for inventory, Inventory will take over. But when you close inventory it goes back to the shop. The problem is that it UNPAUSES the game, so I died there because I was "shopping."

Cyto-Life Cyto-Life

Rated 3 / 5 stars September 29, 2009

Nice, but slow and boring

Likes:
-you can evolve
-you can upgrade
-you get moves as you progress
-you can still play after lvl 14 and upgrade more

Suggestions:
-ADD MUSIC, the background noise sounds like the inside of a body and very boring
-speed the game up a bit, its still slow at lvl 14 with max speed and turn
-fix the AI, it doesnt know what a wall is
-reduce the penalty for dying
-I dont like the fact that if your "evolving" you cant move BUUUT if something charges and hits your egg, you lose 500 points. Just change that, something.
-Reduce the turn ratio on the big attackers, they turn way to fast it seems unnatural for this game. Not to mention its IMPOSSIBLE to flank them without letting them attempt to hit you first. At max speed/turn you should be able to out turn and kill these things.
-if you click an upgrade for evolution, have a way to TAKE IT BACK in case someone accidently clicks the wrong upgrade
-have some way to eat the dead specimens, not just the planktin.
-get more "evolve" exp when you kill bigger things, if it does (i didnt notice the difference)
-use different colors besides green
-have an upgrade to have little followers with you
-have an upgrade to have radar of some sort (sharks have it, why cant this specimen)
-have an upgrade to shoot ink to slow the turns of the attackers
-increase the speed of the evolve editor, it seems to take to long to come up (yes i know you have to wait for the egg to grow, just seems long though)

Bugs:
-if you are damaged and you "evolve" when you come as a new species you have your ORIGINAL health. The problem is that you lay an egg and you then take control of a "new" specimen, thus you should have full health.

Alice is Dead - Ep 1 Alice is Dead - Ep 1

Rated 5 / 5 stars September 20, 2009

nice puzzle game

I liked the puzzle-ness, it wasnt to hard, just the right difficulty. I used the strat for the very beginning because I didn't know I could combine items. Thanks for the strat! Great music choice, suits it. cant wait for number 2!

likes:
-the difficulty was spot on
-the strat for those who need it
-music choice
-the funny comments on using items (this adds a little spunk that makes it ever so better!)

Suggestions:
-have a way to quit the game to the menu from inside the game (in case we want to go back and read the instructions!)
-if we use an item on a generic background, have a general dialogue that says, "You can't use this here" instead of just returning to your bag (I thought I had to clog the pipe at the beginning with the rock and I thought I was clicking on the wrong spot)
-Have mute turn off AND ON the music. When I clicked on the brief case the music stopped :( and never came back
